I was 20 years old The first time I went to Auschwitz I didn't take a single picture If those images aren't burned into my memory I wasn't worthy to be there.
paulnak, yes. today i was looking at those few pages of crazy, disjointed thought and scribbled names, words, and impressions i had when visiting auschwitz. "shoes" "glasses" "eva" ...it's all so clear in my mind today. thanks for the post. Lord forgive us if we ever forget.
It's something I still have a hard time talking about to people, but I felt like maybe if I wrote it down, it would be easier. To come to terms with the sheer staggering size of it all. But words can never express the raw emotion I felt that day. Lord forgive us.
